Well geeze! The most interesting person that shows up to my dinner parties is the uncle with the cutoff t-shirts and jorts. I guess there’s more interesting people to have dinner with out there.
Ricky Gervais, Chris Rock, Jerry Seinfeld, and Louis C.K. will appear in a one-off comedy talk show special on HBO. The show will be called Talking Funny and walks in familiar footsteps of other shows such as Paul Provenza’s The Green Room and Jon Favreau’s Dinner For Five. Both of which take interesting people and put them in a room to talk about their craft. Talking Funny might be the funniest of them all since it’s a one-time thing and features ya know, legends of comedy.
Producers called the show, “the meeting of the most important comedy minds in the world, with an insight to how they have achieved their success, what they think of each other’s talents and their viewpoints on the world of comedy.” They are also planning for it to be a big success as they have plans for a Talking Toons which will feature animation bigwigs like Seth McFarlane and Acting Funny with comedic actors like Zach Galifinakis.
The show will be taped in NYC before the end of the year so we’re thinking an early 2011 release though that’s just speculation. Boom!
