The Riverboat Gamblers wrote a song about comedians

August 28, 2012      Matt      Music, Video

Austin, Texas sons of punk rock, The Riverboat Gamblers just released the video for their song “Comedians.” The entire clip is more docile than the band’s usual self, but the song’s overall tone is darker than usual.

It also seems to be the blueprint day in the life of a comedian. I’m thinking with any luck this song could get co-opted and become the official theme song for all comics. That’s a thing right? Kinda like “Eye Of The Tiger” is the official theme song for Boxers. Yeah, it’s a thing.

Austin-based band. Dead comedian in the video. Could this song be about Bill Hicks?
