Rob Zombie announces he’s directing a film reboot of “The Munsters”

When The Munsters premiered in 1964, few could’ve predicted that we’d still be talking about it nearly 60 years later. And after many reboot attempts (a few even made it to the air in the 90’s), the next reboot attempt has been announced.
Yesterday, horror director Rob Zombie took to Instagram to announce that he’s rebooting The Munsters as his next film. This isn’t the first film reboot attempt for the Munsters gang (the Wayans brothers tried to get one made back in the early 2000’s that ultimately didn’t go anywhere). So we hope Zombie has better luck!
“Attention Boils and Ghouls,” Zombie wrote on his Instagram. “The rumors are true! My next film project will be the one I’ve been chasing for 20 years! THE MUNSTERS! Stay tuned for exciting details as things progress!“
