Sam Tallent has a new special coming out, “Waiting for Death to Claim Us”

August 31, 2021      Andrew Buss      News, Specials, Stand-Up

Last year, comedian Sam Tallent released his first novel, Running the Light, which was praised by his fellow comics such as Marc Maron and Doug Benson for capturing the world of stand-up so accurately. And now, Tallent has a new special coming out with Comedy Dynamics.

According to the official release, Waiting for Death to Claim Us “follows America’s dogged stand-up scion Sam Tallent through 13 different venues across America from the sold-out theaters, to house parties and rib-joints, all while COVID barrels down on the nation in early 2020. This is the last comedy special filmed before the country went into lockdown.”

“Sam is one of those comedians that will have you laughing from the beginning to the end of the set, and we’re excited to be releasing his new special!” said Brian Volk-Weiss, Founder and CEO of Comedy Dynamics.

“I just hope people watch this,” added Sam Tallent.

“Sam Tallent is and always has been one of the true originals. He’s as much a myth as a man, like a character who wandered off the pages of a Kerouac novel.” Said Chris Gethard.

“A hell of a fucking writer!” said Ron White.

The special hits Comedy Dynamics platforms on September 7th, including Comcast, Amazon Prime Video, Apple TV, Spectrum, Peacock, Dish, Google Play, Vimeo, YouTube and more. The album will be available on Sirius XM, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora and more starting September 10, 2021.
