“Saturday Night Live” kicks of Season 41 with hosts Miley Cyrus, Amy Schumer, and Tracy Morgan

Your first set of hosts are in. NBC and Saturday Night Live have announced their first three hosts for the upcoming 41st season of the late night sketch show. Things will kick off with Miley Cyrus on October 3. A tough act to follow no doubt, but if anyone can do it why now Amy Schumer on October 10 and the return of Tracy Morgan on October 17. Three heavy hitters in their own right and a much anticipated return of Morgan post accident. This will be Cyrus’ third time as host and will be coming fresh off her hosting duties of the MTV Video Music Awards August 30. Amy Schumer will make her hosting debut. Schumer is coming off her summer box office hit, Trainwreck, in which she both wrote and starred. She stars in the TV series, Inside Amy Schumer, and her upcoming comedy special, Amy Schumer: Live From the Apollo, premieres October 17. Did we mention she’ll be opening for Madonna in New York City this September? Tracy Morgan will return to Studio 8H for his second time as host. As a former cast member, Morgan earned acclaim for his seven seasons on SNL and was Emmy nominated for his role on the award-winning comedy series 30 Rock. No musical guests have been attached yet to these dates as of now. But it’s already shaping up to be another big year as it begins it’s run towards a 50th season.
