“Saturday Night Live” To Air Behind-The-Scenes Special

Saturday Night Live announced that a 2-hour special called Saturday Night Live Backstage will air at 9pm on February 20th. The show is pretty much what it sounds like.
[It] takes you on a behind-the-scenes tour throughout the show’s long history highlighting previously untold stories of auditions, censorship, Weekend Update, and more. Continuing to tell the story of Saturday Night Live. NBC presents a new installment of the compelling behind-the-scenes documentary series chronicling the highs and lows of the iconic comedy show. The special will continue in tradition of the other SNL specials, with a quick paced journey giving watchers an insider’s view of why the show continues to remain relevant to the lexicon of pop culture after nearly 40 years on the air. The special will air interviews with writers, cast members, and guest hosts interlocked with video of some of the show’s most memorable bits and characters. It will also feature videos of cast auditions and some Lorne Michaels stories.
