Seth Rogen was not kidnapped, despite viral TikTok video suspecting otherwise

When the pandemic came tearing through the world last year, everyone used the time off to take up a new hobby. Seth Rogen took up pottery. On his social media handles, he has been posting photos of the hundreds of vases he has made during quarantine. So much so, that a TikTok user became jokingly concerned for his well being.
TikTok user @chriscanbefunny posted a funny two minute video that suspected Seth Rogen was essentially kidnapped by a “shady ceramicist,” who was pretending to be Seth and forcing Seth to post photos of his art on social media. The video wound up going viral last week. And it wasn’t long before Rogen responded yesterday.
This video is very funny and not at all true! I have not been kidnapped! This is not a kidnapper writing this from Seth’s account! I promise! pic.twitter.com/FDeQ7UdYox

“This video is very funny and not at all true!” Rogen replied. “I have not been kidnapped! This is not a kidnapper writing this from Seth’s account! I promise!”
While it’s good to know that Rogen is alive and well, how do we know that the denial is not that of the shady ceramicist? Surely a shady ceramicist wouldn’t admit to being one, would they? Still so many questions left unresolved…
