Stand-up Harrison Greenbaum aces his “America’s Got Talent” audition, making it to the TV competition’s next round

 July 12, 2017      Sam      Stand-Up, Television, Video

Comedian Harrison Greenbaum totally killed during his America’s Got Talent audition, easily earning a spot in the reality competition’s next round.

All four of the judges – Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Mel B., and even notoriously hard-to-please Simon Cowell — were nearly in tears during Greenbaum’s set, which described how he came out to his parents… as a comedian, to their surprise, as they were expecting the fairly effeminate (but straight!) comic to be coming out for real.

When asked how long he’s been performing, Greenbaum informed the judges he’s been doing between 600-700 shows per year, over a dozen years, a fact that earns their immediate respect, particularly from sometime-comic Mandel. This isn’t Greenbaum’s first televised appearance, either; in addition to running sets on Gotham Comedy Live and Comedy Central, the Andy Kaufman Award winner is a Last Comic Standing alum.

In addition to being a highly accomplished stand-up comic, Greenbaum is also a respected magician; he just wrapped a two-week run with all-star live show “The Illusionists” in Australia, and he frequently appears at the world famous Magic Castle.

You can catch Greenbaum on the next round (and, hopefully, the next next round) of America’s Got Talent — and you can also follow his ongoing campaign to get himself a Netflix special at (of course) www.iwantanetflixspecial.com.
