TBS launches Snapchat channel consisting of animated stand-up bits

TBS and Conan O’Brien’s Team Coco announced a partnership with Snapchat to produce content for the social media company. The channel, dubbed Team Coco’s Comedy Club will feature animated bits from some extremely funny people. New eps will launch every Sunday at 6pm ET. The first episode just launched and features comedian Matt Braunger telling a story about how he tried to take the elevator downstairs at his hotel to make it to a show and it proved to to be a much larger ordeal than he thought thanks to college parties.

“Comedy Club marks Team Coco’s most ambitious platform-specific production to date with TBS. The series was shot, illustrated and animated specifically with Snapchat’s vertical orientation and video player in mind. Each episode also heavily incorporates quick transitions, text overlays and other post-production techniques that are rarely found in traditional comedy videos but will be instantly recognizable to any Snapchat user. The result is an animated series that should appeal equally to the CONAN and Snapchat audiences,” said Steve Beslow, general manager of Team Coco Digital.
