Jim Carrey’s terrific series Kidding is coming back for a second season on Showtime. If you need a refresher, Carrey teamed up with Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind director Michel Gondry for a dark comedy that has Carrey starring as a Mr. Rogers-like character named Mr. Pickles whose hosted a children’s TV show for decades to build a multi-million dollar empire. But after a tragic accident Mr. Pickles’ (Jeff) life began to fall apart and spiraled out of control. Season 2 picks up right after the first season’s cliffhanger, and with his show off the air for the first time in 30 years, Jeff must find a way to reach his fans who still need him so he creates a new method to talk directly to children around the globe. However, it’s a controversial decision and for the first time in his professional career, he faces animosity. As he navigates this new gray area he learns more about himself.
The new season stars Jim Carrey along with Frank Langella, Catherine Keener, and Judy Greer. The new season also features Ariana Grande and premieres on February 9th on Showtime.
