For almost as long as its been a network, Comedy Central has produced a series of half hour specials that identified some of the best emerging stand-up talent. You name the comic and chances are they’ve had a half hour on Comedy Central. While the name of the show has changed a few times over the years – Comedy Central Presents, The Half Hour, and now Comedy Central Stand-Up Presents…. Regardless of the shows name, its goal has been the same and that’s to provide a platform for the next wave.
Today, the network announced the 12 new comedians that make up the 2019 class and it includes two Daily Show correspondents (Dulce Sloan, JaboukieYoung-White) and the voice of its commercials (David Gborie).
Here’s the lineup and the names making up the class.
