With the departure of Michael Che, The Daily Show has hired two new people to add to the team. According to Variety, comedians Trevor Noah and Hasan Minhaj have been hired to the staff. Minhaj will join the show in November as a correspondent, while Noah will hop on in December as a contributor.
Noah has appeared and hosted many shows in his native country of South Africa including his own late night talk show. He made a splash in the US with appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, Late Show with David Letterman, and his Showtime special Trevor Noah: African American.
Minhaj is an LA comic who has appeared on @Midnight and hosted the MTV panel show, Failosophy. He was also named a “New Face” at this year’s Montreal Just For Laughs festival.
