The “Jay & Silent Bob Reboot” trailer drops and the duo are once-again taking on the Hollywood movie machine

The long-awaited Jay & Silent Bob Reboot movie is imminent, and with that comes a trailer. Writer, director, and star Kevin Smith had been teasing that we would be treated to a trailer right after he screened it at Comic Con this Saturday. But rather than making us wait that long, we go the trailer today!
The story is basically a “reboot” in the most meta way possible. Hollywood is remaking the Bluntman & Chronic movie decades after the last one. And once again Jay and Silent Bob don’t want a reboot of a movie that was based on comic book characters about them made… again. So they set off to La La Land to see if they can once again stop the film from being made. Smith teased that the rebooted Bluntman & Chronic will be updated with a modern twist with Chronic being portrayed by a lady and that the film would star a few of the Batmans many assumed Ben Affleck was definitely one, but nobody saw the Val Kilmer we’re betting.
Once the duo heads to Hollywood all the hijinks ensue including cameos galore, some from the Jay & Silent Bob universe, some new ones along the way. In just the trailer alone we recall seeing include Supergirl Melissa Benoist (as the new Chronic), Donnell Rawlings, Jason Lee, Craig Robinson, Justin Long, Joe Manganiello, Harley Quinn Smith (Kevin Smith’s real daughter as Jay’s daughter), Shannon Elizabeth, Fred Armisen, Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, Method Man, Redman, Rosario Dawson, Chris Hemsworth, Brian Quinn, Jason Biggs, James Van Der Beek, and Tommy Chong.
It’s bound to be a fun run through the stoned mind of the View Askew-niverse. The movie has no official release date yet but Smith stated it was going to land this fall.
