The Laugh Button launches a record label with the help of its friends Robert Kelly and 800 Pound Gorilla

We have some big news happening around TLB Towers and we’re pretty damn excited about it. The Laugh Button is getting into the comedy album game… and we’re doing it big. Today we’re announcing the launch of TLB Records that’s right a record label that will release albums from comedians we think are awesome and should have some of their recorded material out there in the world.

And we’re not doing it alone, some of our comedy brethren are going to help us out. We’ve partnered with comedian and longtime pal Robert Kelly and his podcast network, Riotcast and our friends at 800 Pound Gorilla records. They will bring years of experience in to the partnership.

The first release is already coming your way on November 5th. NYC comedian Mike Feeney’s debut album Rage Against The Routine will be the first release. Recorded at NY Comedy Club last month, Mike is an emerging comedian we think has potential to be your next favorite comedian. you can pre-order it now.

Check out some clips from the album…

Additionally, you can premiere the entire record in advance if you tune into SiriusXM’s Raw Dog channel the weekend of November 1st.

This is the point of this announcement when all partners make statements and you read them, including one from our head honcho, Matt Kleinschmidt.

Robert Kelly stated, “I have been working with The Laugh Button for years, so that was a no-brainer. But if I have to be honest, partnering up with a company called 800 POUND GORILLA is intimidating. Then I found out the name of their company had nothing to do with their physical appearance, but everything to do with the way they attack a project. Physically they are real nerdy looking. I’m very proud of the podcast network, but now to join forces with two of the biggest and best companies in the business, we can finally give our talent the growth potential they need. This is going to be Epic!”

Matt Kleinschmidt, our Editor-In-Chief of The Laugh Button, had this to say – “We love everything about this alliance! Robert is one of the best comedians working on any comedy stage today. He has an amazing ability to identify and bring that talent out in others. He was also one of our earliest supporters of The Laugh Button. The synergy when we first met 800 Pound Gorilla was undeniable. Their enthusiasm for comedy, business ideology and complementary skill set, allowed us to become fast collaborators.”

Ryan Bitzer, co-founder of 800 Pound Gorilla, adds, “We’ve watched The Laugh Button grow from an editorial outlet to a production and event brand over the last few years. We’re excited to pair our digital marketing prowess with their team’s talents while executing the comedic vision of Robert Kelly.”

To celebrate all of this exciting news, we’re throwing a party the week of release and during the New York Comedy Festival. Join us at The Stand Comedy Club and Restaurant in New York City on Wednesday, November 6th for a live comedy show featuring some of our comedian friends and family. Get tickets and get them fast!
