The Lonely Island, which comprises of Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer are underway with their lastest project. A musical. And that musical is being produced by Judd Apatow. All three will star with Taccone and Schaffer set to direct. The word on the street is the musical comedy will parody music documentaries in the vein of Katy Perry’s Part of Me and One Direction’s Where We Are. It will focus on a rapper whose latest album bombs and he must do the unthinkable: a reunion concert with his former boy band states The Hollywood Reporter. Filming is taken place currently in Los Angeles. The Lonely Island have sold over 500,000 albums to date and recently performed at the Oscars in February. And Judd Apatow has Trainwreck hitting theaters this summer.
