Did you miss out on some of the Quibi programs during the short 7 month stint that the service was made available? Well here’s some good news for you.
Today, The Roku Channel announced that the entire Quibi catalog will be available on their streaming network, for free. This news is definitely a surprising shift for the streaming platform, as it marks their highest profile original programming to date.
“The most creative and imaginative minds in Hollywood created groundbreaking content for Quibi that exceeded our expectations,” said Quibi Founder Jeffrey Katzenberg in a statement. “We are thrilled that these stories, from the surreal to the sublime, have found a new home on The Roku Channel.”
“We preserved all of what was in the existing agreements,” Roku VP of ProgrammingRob Holmes told Deadline. “We’re excited about that. It’s great, high-quality, top talent and high-quality content.”
Some of the original comedy programming you’ll be able to see is Reno 911!, Mapleworth Murders, Flipped, Dummy, Home Movie: The Princess Bride, Die Hart, Agua Donkeys, Nice One!, This Joka with Will Smith, and Royalties.
No word yet on whether or not programming that was in production before the network went under will be completed.
