We finally have our first look at Bert Kreischer’s The Machine movie!
In 2019 we got news that a movie would be made about Kreischer’s wild story about getting involved with the Russian Mafia when he was in college and ended up robbing a train. It’s a well-worn story he’s told on stage and in specials that has become the comic’s calling card and the reason much of the publich has first learned about Kreischer. Then after some time in development we learned last summer that the comedian was headed overseas to shoot the film with non other than Mark Hamill who would portray his father with a plot that would involve the two returning to Russia years later to learn about the fallout of that fateful night Kreischer and the Russian Mafia teamed up.
The movie is ready however, since filming the movie the war between Russia and the Ukraine began with Kreischer stating that Netflix was wanting to wait it out before releasing the film.
But we’re not being left high and dry as we finally have our first look at the film. Judging from the trailer alone, it looks like it could be pretty damn good! The comedian has stated that the movie sits somewhere between The Hangover and Midnight Run, so if you’ve ever wondered what it’d be like if Kreischer starred in a film with just as much action as comedy, this is the film for you.
No release date has been announced, but hopefully we’ll hear more soon!
