The trailer for “Bill & Ted Face the Music” is finally here

June 9, 2020      Andrew Buss      Movies, News

Last night, Alex Winter teased us all by announcing that today is Bill and Ted day. And he wasn’t wrong. Earlier today, the official poster for the third film, titled Bill and Ted Face the Music, was unveiled. But fans also had a strong feeling that it was only a matter of time before we got the trailer.

And now we do. In the trailer, we see that just because the boys have aged 25 years, very little has changed. The trailer doesn’t reveal a whole lot, except that the film will be about them traveling to the future to steal the perfect song… from themselves.

In addition to the return of Winters and Keanu Reeves, we also see William Sadler coming back as the Grim Reaper. Newcomers this time around include Holland Taylor, Anthony Carrigan, Beck Bennett, Kristen Schaal, and more. George Carlin will be present as Rufus through repurposed footage from the first two films, but his daughter, Kelly, will also play an undisclosed role in the film.

A third installment in the series has been talked about since 2010. There were moments where it seemed like it wasn’t almost going to happen. So we’re totally stoked that it’s finally come to fruition. The release of the film is currently billed as “Summer 2020” but that’s obviously vague considering the nation is still waking up and coming out of lockdown differently. So right now it’s safe to say the release date is TBD at the moment.
