This just in… stupidity is alive and well and Mindless Self Indulgence can prove it

Mindless Self Indulgence are the topic of scrutiny with some iTunes subscribers. After the band classified their music as “Religious/Inspirational” with the popular download service, many people in the conserviative Christian community registered complaints after downloading the songs without previewing. Ignoring that the songs were clearly marked explicit.
iTunes considers this genre tag as “Christian/Gospel” so when people looking for a bit of faith music went and downloaded the music they got a shock. In fact, so many people ignored the explicit warnings and downloaded the album that their most recent album You’ll Rebel To Anything, actually peaked at #27 on the iTunes Christian/Gospel charts.
MSI frontman Jimmy Urine issued a statement saying: “It was iTunes, not us, that interpreted “religious” to mean Christian. What is offensive to some people is obviously inspirational to others. To our fans this is inspirational music. I have no intention of changing the genre listing of this album.”
