This week in comedy: Anthony Jeselnik returns to Comedy Central late nights
September 2, 2019 The Laugh Button Staff Anthony Jeselnik, Television, This Week In Comedy
This Friday, Anthony Jeselnik will return to late nights on Comedy Central with his new interview show, Good Talk. At one point in the trailer Natasha Leggero seems surprised by the tone of the questions being asked of her. She makes the assumption that she thought Jeselnik’s new show would be like his old one. Jeselnik is quick to point out the line of thinking as ridiculous since the previous one was cancelled. The entire interaction exemplifies our thoughts on this show, mainly asking why Jeselnik wants to do another late night talk show when he’s been pretty clear he hates TV. Is it one of the great mysteries of the world? Or perhaps the funniest thing Jeselnik can do because it’s least expected of him. Good Talk with Anthony Jeselnik premieres on Comedy Central Friday night.
