This Week in Comedy: Brendan Sagalow’s debut album “Not Now More Than Ever” is being released

This Week In Comedy: Comedian Brendan Sagalow has a debut stand-up album coming out this Friday, Not Now More Than Ever, on our TLB Records label. The album was recorded last fall on top of a socially distanced crowd on a rooftop in New York. “With equal parts confident social observations and cutting self-deprecation, Sagalow deftly and defiantly runs a great set in front of a hungry audience.” You can pre-order the album here.
Also this week, Grown-ish is back for season three. The series, which is a spin-off of ABC’s Black-ish and also created by Kenya Barris, is best describes as “a contemporary take on the current issues facing both students and administrators in the world of higher education.” Comedian Deon Cole also stars as his Black-ish character, Charlie Telphy. Grown-ish returns to Freeform on Thursday.
Plus, comedian Rose Matafeo, whose HBO Max stand-up special Horndog premiered last year, has a new film coming out. The film, Baby Done, follows a couple who finally decides they’re ready to have a baby, and vows to try and do everything they’ve always wanted to do before the baby arrives. Baby Done hits VOD on Friday.
