This week in comedy, Jim Gaffigan is coming back to Netflix for his first new special with the major streamer since 2017’s Cinco. In the trailer for the Comedy Monster, which was filmed a few months ago, Gaffigan talks about how we all thought the pandemic was over, the difficulty of calling a woman “crazy,” going to Hawaii, empathizing with the accountants of billionaires.
Also this week, Jimmy Carr is showing all of His Dark Material in a new Netflix special that bares that very name. In a clip from the new special, he asks any audience members who are afraid of taking the vaccine to raise their hands and then slap themselves in the f*cking face with it. This holiday gift from the British comedian drops on the streamer on Christmas Day.
And finally, Adam McKay is returning to a more comedic format in his new film, Don’t Look Up. The film – which boasts an all-star cast that includes Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Hill, Timothée Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, Ariana Grande, Tyler Perry, Gina Gershon, Chris Evans, Matthew Perry, Melanie Lynskey, Mark Rylance, Ron Perlman, and Kid Cudi – follows two astronomers that try to convince the world that a comet is about to collide with Earth.
