This Week in Comedy: Jonah Hill and Eddie Murphy go head-to-head in “You People”

This week in comedy: Jonah Hill and Eddie Murphy are starting in a new Kenya Barris comedy, You People. Barris directed the film, based on a script that he co-wrote with Hill. The film follows Hill and his new girlfriend, as they embrace the cultural differences with her family, especially her dad, played by Murphy.

Also this week, Ted Lasso creator Bill Lawrence and Ted Lasso star/writer Brett Goldstein have created a new comedy for Apple TV+. In Shrinking, Jason Segal is a therapist who starts telling his patients exactly what he thinks, in the most brutally honest way. This causes the patients to make life-changing alterations to their lives. The series also stars Harrison Ford and Jessica Williams.

And finally, Jimmy Kimmel is celebrating his 20th anniversary with a special 10 PM ET edition of Jimmy Kimmel Live!. The special airs 20 years to the day of his first show, and features his first ever guests, George Clooney, Snoop Dogg, and Coldplay.
