This Week in Comedy: “Ted Lasso” returns for a third (and probably final) season

This week in comedy: Everyone’s favorite American coaching British football Ted Lasso is coming back for a third season. Fans and critics alike have been waiting nearly two years to see what’d be next for the gang, lead by Jason Sudeikis as Lasso. This week, they finally get their answers in what is reportedly the last season for the Apple TV+ series.

Also this week, Bert Kreischer is bringing some Razzle Dazzle to Netflix with his third special for the streaming giant. Kreischer previously worked with them on Secret Time and Hey Big Boy. Now, Kreischer talks about “bodily emissions, being bullied by his kids and the explosive end to his family’s escape room outing.”

Plus, have you ever wondered what it’d be like if Elvis Presley was actually a secret agent? That’s what the animated series Agent Elvis tackles. The Netflix comedy boasts an impressive cast that includes Matthew McConaughey, Johnny Knoxville, Kaitlin Olson, Tom Kenny, Don Cheadle, and Niecy Nash, while guests include Ed Helms, Chris Elliot, Fred Armisen, Ego Nwodim, Simon Pegg, Christina Hendricks, Jason Mantzoukas, Craig Robinson, Kieran Culkin, and Priscilla Presley.

Finally, Kyle Kinane is coming out with his latest special, Shocks & Struts. In the new hour, he “wonders at how his pillows turned that color (?!), he explains the way to make everyone in a cruise ship hot tub immediately uncomfortable, and he marvels at pilots who aren’t intimidated by the hundreds of buttons in airplane cockpits, all of which should simply be labeled “Don’t Die!””
