Yesterday, the L.A. Times published a story that brought to light some of the sexual misconduct that took place at the now-defunct Cloak & Dagger Club. The club is best described as a “goth club”, and since its founding in 2015, you’d frequently find some well-known guests in the private back room there. One such guest was reportedly Thomas Middleditch.
In the piece, Hannah Harding recalled that she was approached by Middleditch on the dance floor. According to Harding, Middleditch “made lewd sexual overtures toward her and her girlfriend.” Despite turning down his advances, Middleditch reportedly persisted, and even groped her in the middle of the dance floor, which caught the attention of the club’s operations manager, Kate Morgan. When Morgan brought this to the attention of club food-founders Adam Bravin and Michael Patterson, she alleges that they didn’t seem to take it seriously.
Later on, Harding received direct messages on Instagram from Middleditch. “Hannah I had no idea my actions were that weird for you … I know you probably want to just put me on blast as a monster … I don’t expect you to want to be my friend or anything … I am so ashamed I made you uncomfortable.”
Harding states that she later saw Middleditch grope another woman in the club. This lead to her to complain to the management. “Adam called me ‘to make sure and get a second opinion on him’ because they didn’t trust my story in the first place. They cared more about famous people at their club than women’s safety,” Harding said to the paper.
For his part, Middleditch has yet to address the allegations or release a statement.
