Tiffany Haddish is reportedly being considered to replace Ellen DeGeneres

Earlier this week, Ellen DeGeneres announced that she would be ending the show after the show’s 19th season, which will be sometime in 2022. That of course leaves the question of who will replace her.
PageSix has reported that the NBC brass has their eyes on another female comedian to take her place. Tiffany Haddish.
“Tiffany is a favorite, she has humor and empathy in spades,” a senior NBC executive told the publication. “She’s top of the list to get a daytime show – she’s a fresh voice.”
Haddish actually has history with the show, as she has filled in for DeGeneres on two previous occasions. However, because DeGeneres owns her show and it is syndicated by Warner Brothers, this would mean that Haddish would have to start over from scratch with a new show. She would merely just be taking over Ellen’s time slot.
Again, this is all just talk, but we think Haddish would make a pretty sensible replacement if the network is still planning to go that route. And as we mentioned earlier this week, if the network is looking to shake things up a bit, Eric Andre has an online petition with over 100,000 signatures to have him replace DeGeneres. So there’s also that.
