The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, those people responsible for the Golden Globes are sticking with a formula that was a hit for them last year. Today they announced that they’ve inked a deal with both Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to return as hosts of the Golden Globe Awards show for both in 2014 and 2015.
“Tina and Amy are two of the most talented comedic writer/performers in our business and they were a major reason the Golden Globes was the most entertaining awards show of last season,” said NBC’s alternative programming president Paul Telegdy in a statement. “We’re elated they wanted to host together again and that they committed for the next two years.”
Fey and Poehler killed it as hosts of last year’s event pulling in nearly 20 million viewers up 17% from when controversial host Ricky Gervais manned the podium in 2012. The 2014 ceremony is set to air on January 12th on NBC.
