Todd Barry is keeping the drumming dream alive, joins Superchunk on stage

September 23, 2010      Matt      Music, News, Todd Barry

Look out Dana Carvey for Todd Barry is becoming the preeminent cover song comedic drummer of choice.

A while back, Barry jumped on drums with Mates Of State and performed a cover of The Replacement’s “I Will Dare”. Now Barry has lent his drumming chops to the recently reunited Superchunk.

During the band’s NYC show the other night Barry joined the band on stage for an encore where they covered The Misfits’ song “Horror Business”. As with most things in life, you only believe this when you see it.

Video proof, we gotcha covered.
