Vir Das releases trailer for “Inside Out: A Lockdown Crowd-Work Special”

Comedians have been doing lots of things to try to stay busy (as well as sharp) throughout these last few months. Sure, while there are some comics going out there to the now reopen clubs and doing drive-in comedy shows, there’s a question as to how long this will all last. So, the safest option seems to be going online to do shows.
This is something Vir Das has been experimenting with throughout the pandemic. He has been getting on Zoom with fans and doing what he calls “lockdown crowd-work shows”. And now, we have a first look at what the final result of this experiment is. In the trailer, he leads us off with the important question “What’s the first thing you’re going to do after the lockdown ends?” The results vary, but the goal of the special seems to be to get people talking.
The special, titled Inside Out, is going to be on Vir Das’s website, and available for a dollar. The proceeds from the special will go to your choice of four different charities: Oxfam, Unicef, CRY India and Doctors without Borders.
