Let’s watch Dave Attell’s Old Porn shall we?

If there were a comedian that comes to mind when thinking of porn, Dave Attell is not my first thought. But when it comes to thinking about a comedian to watch and comment on porn with, well there might not be anyone better than Attell. Therin lies the inspiration behind the new Showtime series, Dave’s Old Porn.

The show’s concept is pretty simple yet has potential to be amazingly funny, especially on a channel where the comedian can be more free with his language – Attell and some friends from the comedy and adult film worlds check out some old school 70’s and 80’s era pornography. A simple, yet effective way of blending humor with sex.

The show’s 8 episodes will begin to air this weekend and comedians like Whitney Cummings, Daniel Tosh, Jim Norton, Bill Burr, Chelsea Handler, and Adam Carolla are all lined up to support Attell’s quest to watch the best porn. It’s like Mystery Science Theater 3000 but with more wangs. As an avid listener of his podcast, I’m pretty sure there’s no way Attell can’t address Carolla’s love for singing the theme song to Taboo 2 whenever he gets the chance.
