Bo Burnham rose to prominence in the mid-aughts thanks to YouTube. Oh, and there was his undeniable talent as well. Whether it was YouTube, Vine, or live performances, Burnham was destined to break through one way or another. After signing a record deal with Comedy Central Records, he released his debut EP Bo Fo Sho in 2008. Since then, he’s toured the world, released three specials with the fourth right around the corner in Make Happy. He’s become and actor with appearances in Funny People, Hall Pass, Parks and Recreation, Key and Peele, Kroll Show, and starred in his own show Zach Stone is Gonna Be Famous. He’s become an author releasing Egghead: Or, You Can’t Survive on Ideas Alone. He’s been working with Judd Apatow and has been recognized with the 2010 Edinburgh Festival Fringe with the Edinburgh Comedy Awards’ panel prize and the Malcolm Hardee “Act Most Likely to Make a Million Quid” Award.
All of that brings us to June 3rd, when Bo Burnham: Make Happy becomes available on Netflix. Check out the trailer:
