Last night, Saturday Night Live came back for its 47th season. Fans had been wondering how the show would pay tribute to the late Norm Macdonald, who died last month. The show ended up finding a very fitting way.
Towards the end of Weekend Update, which Macdonald is best known for, Colin Jost and Michael Che turned the floor over to vintage clips of Norm behind the desk. And naturally, the final joke was one that ultimately got Macdonald fired, an O.J. Simpson joke. Additionally, observant viewers will have noticed Pete Davidson rocking a Norm Macdonald shirt during his Update appearance. So Norm’s legacy remains alive and well at his old stomping grounds.
