This Week on TV: Cristela Alonzo’s “Lower Classy” hits Netflix

This week on TV is all about the special. And we’re going to get four of them in total. Two from Netflix, one from Seeso, and one from Comedy Central. Here’s this week’s breakdown.

On Monday, both Cristela Alonzo: Lower Classy and Gad Gone Wild premiere on Netflix. Cristela Alonzo: Lower Classy showcases that she’s no stranger to breaking glass ceilings. She’s also not opposed to cleaning them. And you can check out her appearance on The Laugh Button Podcast right here.

In Gad Elmaleh’s latest one man show Gad Gone Wild – mainly performed in French – Gad uses personal experiences as a Frenchie in the US to highlight cultural differences with his very singular humor between both countries. In the stand-up, he mixes english, french and arab and entertains the audience with absurd situations he experienced and still is today in his daily life in the US.

On Thursday, we get another double-dip when it comes to comedy specials. First up, Adam Newman’s Fuzzies premieres on Seeso. Here’s a taste of his stand-up from the Seeso series Funny as Hell.

Also on Thursday, Jeff Ross Presents Roast Battle II premieres on Comedy Central. Here’s a tease of what’s coming our way.
