Three new sitcoms that contain some comedic heavyweights in Lorne Michaels, Chelsea Handler, and Whitney Cummings to be exact.
Cumming’s dark-side-of-marriage sitcom Whitney is going to air on the Peacock network; as well as Emily Spivey’s project, which now has the title, Alpha Mom and will be produced by Lorne Michaels and star Christina Applegate.
Finally, Handler’s long-rumored sitcom based on her book, Are You There Vodka? It’s Me Chelsea is happening, and it does have Laura Prepon set to play the main character as originally reported.
So, when the fall kicks back in it’s looking like we’ll see even more vulgar comediennes on television, and that can’t be a bad thing.
