Will Ferrell and his cowbell crashed his son’s first live concert

December 7, 2022      Andrew Buss      News, Will Ferrell

If you were playing your first ever live concert with your band, the last thing you’d probably want is your dad crashing the end of your set with a cowbell. However, when your dad is Will Ferrell, then it’s probably more acceptable. (But also, maybe still embarrassing).

Nevertheless, that’s exactly what happened last week when Ferrell’s son, Magnus, was playing his first ever live show in San Diego. As part of a charity benefit, Magnus played a cover of Creep and three original songs. During the last original song, Back In Place, that’s when his dad stormed the stage, cowbell in hand. Judging by the round of applause he got, the audience seemed just fine with it!

Check out the video here. And for anyone unaware of the significance of Ferrell and the Cowbell – although that’s hard to imagine at this point – check out the classic Saturday Night Live sketch that featured Ferrell here.
