There’s been a lot of efforts to help boost morale in a lot companies. These are tough times we’re all going through, and laughter is important to offset that. And members of the NFL are probably feeling some of the same anxieties that all of us are feeling.
To help do his part, Will Ferrell decided he would pose as newly-traded player Greg Olsen and crash the Seattle Seahawks’ team Zoom meeting. In it, Ferrell professes his love of QB Russell Wilson, told team-member Luke Wilson to “cut his goddamn hair,” and showed off his “36 year-old yoga body,” even though he’s 52. Additionally, Ferrell introduced a new play to the team and called “90-60 Flywheel Kanye Starburst,” which, let’s be honest, if doesn’t make it to the playing field this year would be a damned shame.
Before he wrapped his video, Ferrell stated that he’s going to call some games this season. Whether that’s part of the joke or foreshadowing what’s to come remains to be seen.
Obviously this was coach Pete Carroll, a long-time friend of Ferrell’s, calling in a favor. And we’re so happy he came through like this. Surely this resulted in a meeting that the players will definitely remember.
