Will Ferrell has had one of those careers that seems to be built on just doing what appeals to him and his comedic sensibility. Some of the things he does may seem weird to others, but to him, it makes perfect sense and most importantly is funny.
We’ve been hearing for about a year now that Will Ferrell would be starring in a Netflix film centered around Eurovision, the huge Europe-wide singing competition that happens every year. The film, titled Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, is about when “aspiring musicians Lars and Sigrit are given the opportunity of a lifetime to represent their country at the world’s biggest song competition, they finally have a chance to prove that any dream worth having is a dream worth fighting for.”
Below we have our first look at the film, that shows Will Ferrell and Rachel McAdams singing Volcano Man while dressed up as if they just stepped out of Game of Thrones. Whatever this film, which is directed by David Dobkin and is written by Ferrell and Andrew Steele, winds up being, we can’t wait to see it when it comes out on June 26th.
