2 Broke Girls – CBS

This is the first of two fall sitcoms that has Whitney Cummings’ name associated with. 2 Broke Girls stars Kat Dennings (The House Bunny, Nick And Norah’s Infinite Playlist) and Beth Behrs as the leads. Two women eeking out an existence in New York City as waitresses. Behrs is from money while Dennings is not, hilarity ensues. Garrett Morris (Saturday Night Live) plays the supporting role as the cashier at the diner the ladies work at.

OUR CALL: With How I Met Your Mother as the show’s lead-in on CBS’s damn solid Monday night comedy lineup of HIMYM, Mike & Molly, and Two And A Half Men this will probably be a winner even if it gets critically panned. While I have to give credit to CBS for at least attempting to reach a demo younger than my grandparents, as long as this sitcom holds the audience on Monday nights it will probably be on the air longer than any of us will realize, like every other CBS show.
