Craig Robinson headed back to TV with NBC series order
Funnyman Craig Robinson is on his way back to a television near you, thanks to NBC. The peacock ordered up a six-episode series order of Mr. Robinson after waiting about a year since ordering a pilot from Robinson. Seems like forever, but you have to remember the creation of these TV shows is crazy slow. On the show, Mr. Robinson highlights a “journeyman musician” who becomes a teacher at a local middle school. Of course with Craig Robinson as your teacher, it won’t take long for him to test the rules of the school. I’m positive you’ll enjoy the show, especially if you liked School of Rock with Jack Black, since it sounds pretty parallel to that.
Robinson wrapped up an eight-year run on The Office last year, and while Office developer Greg Daniels had been attached to Mr. Robinson, he’s no longer involved. Mark Cullen and Rob Cullen, who had worked on cancelled ABC series Back in the Game, will be executive producers and showrunners.
