Just For Laughs: Catching up with Hannibal Buress and Rob Delaney

Bands made of fish, octopus balls for meals and a photo bombing “Ace Venture look alike” are three wild things that sum up the craziness of the Just For Laughs festival in Montreal. The huge lineups of solid comedians only intensify this unique experience and we wouldn’t want it any other way.
The Hyatt Regency in Montreal is filled with top talent and industry from all over the world. In one corner of the lobby Marc Maron delivers a podcast while in the other corner artist pitch television pilots hoping to get aired. The scene is unlike anywhere else and unique in its own right.
We had the honor to interview some of the most talented individuals in the comedy world and we are thankful to all of them for taking time out of their busy schedule to talk with us. In the near future you can expect to see, hear, and read interviews with Adam Carolla, Paul F. Tompkins, Bobby Slayton, Rob Barnett, Kurt Braunohler, Hannibal Buress, Godfrey, and Debra DiGiovanni.
After all the fun interviews we hit the town and caught some amazing shows. Accepting the Rising Comedy Star Award earlier in the day, Hannibal went on to deliver a strong set to a full house at the L’Astral venue. Mixing in some old and new jokes, Buress had the crowd laughing and cheering for more. From getting a ticket for jay-walking in Montreal to protecting his watch from gang members, Hannibal always know how to deliver home runs.
After a walking through the wild streets of Montreal we arrived to yet another full house for An Evening with Rob Delaney. Rob was a machine! He delivered his set to a receptive crowd and barley stopped to take a breath. His animated humor and storytelling had us laughing as he painted the picture of him eating his baby (because he smells so damn good) as well as providing strategies on how to relieve yourself while jogging through Hollywood.
Just For Laughs is the world’s largest comedy festival and we were proud to be part of its 30th anniversary. Thank you for the laughs JFL, we will see you on your 31st.
